Director of School Operations—Indianapolis (DEADLINE is March 29 @ 6pm CT)
In your role, you will be one of the lead executors of Rooted’s operations systems and procedures for our Indianapolis campus.
As our Director of School Operations, you will work in step with our COO, School Leader, and instructional team to fulfill our school-wide vision for grade 9.
Above all, you will help us determine how we will fulfill the Rooted Promise. This might not work. It might not be fun. I hope you’ll do it anyway.

areas of responsibility include (but aren’t limited to)
Manage vendor relationships, holding service providers accountable to Rooted standards.
Manage data and front office personnel.
Develop and maintain systems of effective and efficient internal controls and reporting to safeguard and track financial assets of the organization.
Conduct the annual operating budget and planning processes, in conjunction with CEO and COO.
Collaborate with Orleans Parish School District and the Indiana Department of Education around all compliance matters.
Oversee all supplies and curriculum procurement in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Oversee enrollment procedures and student registration processes, along with compliant maintenance of student files and information systems.
Work closely with COO to maintain (and/or improve) effective operational and financial procedures and systems.
Work directly with transportation vendor to ensure timely and safe delivery of student services.
Oversee food service management to ensure compliance requirements are met, including proper food reimbursement processes.
Oversee student transportation management to ensure compliance requirements and the highest safety standards are met.
Assist Director of School Environment in collecting, logging, and communicating truancy data to school leadership and families.
Work closely with Data Manager and instructional leadership to ensure accurate and compliant data processes are in place.
Work directly with building landlord to ensure Rooted is a safe and compliant space for students, staff, and families.
Manage custodial expectations and work with custodial team members around general expectations and special events.
Actively engage in creating a strong school culture. Every team member is responsible for helping establish Rooted's culture among students, partners, and the community-at-large.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (required)
Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
3+ years in a school based operations role or similar professional setting
